01-051 Decoding Why Purity

Some people don't see the point [of purity]. They raise all kinds of questions:
- The standard seems so strict!
- How can non-Christians be expected to live chastity if it's hard enough for us?
- Is this something between God and me?
- How can the Church ask us to live this way, given the trash we're exposed to on TV, streaming, the Internet, and so on?
- Everyone's having sex before marriage, what's the big deal?

These are all good questions and hopefully by the end of this little book, you can realize that man was created out of love. Young people have a powerful capacity for love, and they long for the gift of self. They deserve to find true love , not succumb to vulgar selfish desires.

Some people fail to see the importance of chastity. They ask a variety of questions:

- Isn't this between me and God?
- Since we have been exposed to bad information on TV, live broadcast, Internet and other media, how can the church ask us to live like this?
- Everyone has sex before marriage, what's the big deal?

These are interesting questions, and we hope that by the end of this book you will have realized that man was made for love. Young people possess a powerful capacity for love, and they long for self-giving. They deserve to find true love and not succumb to vulgar selfish desires.
